Bodegas Juan Gil Monastrell 2005
Intense deep red cherry colour. Powerful in nose, clean and complex. Very attractive fruity aromas, touchs of ripe fruit and reminds of new wood. Well- constituted in mouth, well-structured, lifely and tasty, taking shape, well-balanced and very good in presence. Better drink with roast and game, red grilled and barbecued meat, rice with game, etc. Wine Spectator An expressive red, with blackberry, kirsch, chocolate and cola flavors in a plush texture. A modern style, but notes of game and leather keep this grounded. Monastrell. Drink now through 2011. 1,000 cases made. Score: 89. —Thomas Matthews, November 15, 2007. |
