Bastianich Tocai Friulano 2005
 |
|
BN#241058 |
A typical Tocai Friulano which expresses the history and terroir of Friuli. Medium bodied, with ripe, luscious pear flavors carried by a refreshing mineral flavor and zesty mouthwatering acidity that mixed together create a perfect wine to enhance food. The Tocai Friulano grape is also characterized by a slight almond edge. A wine which complements many appetizers such as cured meats such as Prosciutto. Try also with full-flavored seafood and fish dishes or with veal or pork.
Wine Spectator
Gorgeous aromas of pineapple and canned peaches. Full-bodied, with very ripe fruit and a medium finish. Rather oily and rich. Loads of fruit. Drink now. 5,000 cases made.
Score: 88.
