Concha y Toro Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Dark ruby-red. Fine red cherries with hints of toasty French oak. Smooth, round, well balanced and tasteful with a long finish. The wine complements steaks, roasts, pasta dishes with robust sauces, and strong cheeses. Wine Spectator Lush but structured, with layers of black currant, tobacco, loam and dark licorice pushed by ripe, solid structure. Long, dark finish. Always rock solid. Drink now through 2011. 71,000 cases made. –JM Web Only (2008) Score: 91. —James Molesworth, 2008.Wine Advocate The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon “Marques de Casa Concha” puts out classic toasty black currant aromas and flavors. This full-bodied wine has plenty of ripe fruit and well-integrated oak, tannin, and acidity. It has 2-3 years of aging potential and should drink well through 2025. Score: 88. —Jay Miller, June 2007. |
